At Pet Loss at Home, we provide compassionate in-home euthanasia services for dogs and cats, so your pet can pass peacefully in the place they love most—home.

Our In-Home Pet Euthanasia Services

Pricing & Services

APPOINTMENT PRICING

EUTHANASIA:  $350

Includes a short discussion with the veterinarian, medication to ensure comfort, gentle euthanasia. The additional cost for the varied cremation services are detailed in the Aftercare Pricing section.

AFTERCARE PRICING

PRIVATE CREMATION
Pets 1 – 30 pounds:  $250
Pets 31 – 60 pounds:  $275
Pets 61 – 100 pounds:  $300
Pets 101 – 150 pounds:  $325
Pets 151+ pounds:  $350

With this option, your pet is cremated privately at a licensed crematory. The ashes are contained in a lovely urn with an engraved nameplate and will be returned to your primary care veterinarian within two weeks. They can also be made available directly from the crematory or mailed to your home or office.

COMMUNAL CREMATION
Pets 1 – 30 pounds:  $75
Pets 31 – 60 pounds:  $100
Pets 61 – 100 pounds:  $125
Pets 101 – 150 pounds:  $150
Pets 151+ pounds:  $175

This option is for families that don’t wish to have their pet’s ashes returned nor wish to bury at home. Pets are respectfully cremated with other pets at a licensed crematory and ashes are scattered in a private location.

ADDITIONAL AFTERCARE FEES

Consultation visits:  $175 (This would be a visit to access the pet so you can work with the vet on better timing, quality of life, hospice recommendations, and to make a plan for end of life.

Coverage:  40 miles of St. Augustine;    2nd radius:  +$80     3rd radius:  +$125

Holiday or After-hours:  +$150 (This is decided by the Veterinarian based on visit date/time)

Deceased pet pick-up:  +$90 (This is a pick-up of your pet and delivery to the Crematorium for cremation with ashes or no ashes returned is elected.

Shipping:  +$45 (This is the shipping of cremains or ashes from the Crematorium to your home, place of work, routine care veterinary clinic, or other address of delivery.)

Keepsakes: +$35 Clay PawPrint and $20/each additional.   Fur clipping Necklace +$40 and Bracelet +$30 are available, too.

Our doctor does not arrive with a vet technician.  Therefore, if your family has elected cremation for a pet over 50 pounds, we may ask your assistance moving your loved one after euthanasia has been performed.  If additional help is needed outside what is available in the home, we may request that the crematory come to assist us.  In this case, an additional fee will be needed to cover their charge.
